Birthday VLOG!

I suck at video editing (who wants to give me a lesson) ... but here is my FIRST EVER VLOG. 




We went to Leon restaurants and Ice Bar London!

Also, I suck at videos in general at the moment but I am still learning! What other videos do you want to see? I have requests for a make up tutorial and braid/plait ideas so far... I am also planning on doing a favourites video as I got loads of amazing beauty products lately!

The vlog a little short as it was my birthday but I hope you enjoy it and can give me tips for next time! Also, does any one know where you can download free music from for videos?

Want to drop a few pounds for holiday?

I am by no means a nutritional / fitness guru but here is my quick guide to dropping a few pounds, quickly but healthily for your summer holiday...

They say practice what you preach so for August I will be following this the best I can in order to get bikini ready for my holiday on 29th August too!

                              

If you have been following the fitness side of my blog you'll know that I am still learning myself but I will try to share some meals and tips on twitter... I can also do videos on what I eat in a day or exercises? Let me know in the comments below.

                            


STEP 1 = eat completely clean (80% of your fat loss relies on this)

No sugar at all (no cakes, chocolate, biscuits etc - even the little things such as sauces, keep your eyes out for extra 'secret' sugar intake), no processed meals (absolutely nothing pre-packaged), no white carbs at all, in fact minimal carbs (obviously they are needed for gym days) try to stick to rice and quinoa types mostly.

Basically absolutely no cheat meals for the purposes of this short summer body prep & watch your portions!

                            


STEP 2 = HIIT workouts (20%)

So HIIT workouts are the best type for fat burning as you continue to burn fat even after exercising.

Do a five minute warm up then pick your exercise (ie. stationary bike) and do 30 seconds as hard and fast as you possibly can, then 1 minute still moving but resting pace - repeat this for 20 minutes, then do a five minute cool down.

Simple! Aim to do this 4 times a week.


Basically, do what you can but make sure you really push as hard as you can for the fast past. Depending on how fit you are will depend on how long you'll need to rest for. Here are some ideas of HIIT workouts on Pinterest.

Fashion | Trouser love

 
I love this outfit - it's comfy and stylish at the same time. What more could a girl want! 
 
The trousers are those sort of timeless classics that you can just never throw away. I absolutely love the detailing on them. They were from Topshop, but they are a couple of years old and I can't find a similar pair online (booooooo). Although Next have some great trousers in at the moment.
 
The jumper was a bargain and the shoes are super comfy; for more details on those head over to My YouTube channel and check out my Primark hauls. 
 
I wore this outfit for a day out wandering around London but the trousers are so versatile that they can be worn for almost any occasion.

Recipe: Turkey Burgers

With all the summer BBQs surrounding us I thought I would do a quick post on Turkey burgers...

As with most of my recipes they are completely changeable to suit you. The recipe I am going to share with you today is the most basic (similar to an ordinary beef burger, but healthier as turkey is more lean than beef).

                 
 
Serves: 3
Total time: 30 minutes
 
 
Ingredients

1 tablespoon of coconut oil
Turkey mince (one small packet made 6 burgers).
2 spring onions
1 handful of fresh herbs - I used parsley as we have it in the garden.
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper to add in a little kick.

Options
You could add finely cut up peppers, any herb (fresh or dry) or any spices or even chillies to make hot burgers; it really is up to you. The options are endless depending on how much time you have and what food is in the kitchen.



Method

Cut up the veg into small pieces and finely chop the herbs.

Add the mince and all the veg/herbs/spices into a bowl and mix well.

Shape the mix into burger shapes.

Heat oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat.

Cook the burgers for 10 minutes on one side and then turn over and repeat for the other side until they are cooked through; this can depend on the size you have made the burgers.

& enjoy! simple.

Review | Maybelline Sensational mascara

My new favourite mascara... Maybelline Lash Sensational.

                              

I have always been a huge fan of Maybelline mascaras, I find that layering a couple of them always works well for my lashes - that are virtually non existent without mascara.

Maybelline mascaras are always reasonably priced, usually £7.99 and often Superdrug or Boots have offers on - even better.

This mascara teamed with Benefit Roller Lash is a winning combination that lasts all day (and I tested this out on the hottest day of the year so far!) I cannot recommend them both enough.

I do often find with mascaras, by the end of the day it appears to have somewhat come off a little and they aren't quite as long looking as they were at the start of the day. But these new mascaras do last all day and are amazing. I'm sure it will only get better from here.

                             

The Sensational mascara is quite a wet formula which is why I find putting more of a dry consistency mascara on top works well (Benefit Roller Lash for example). It's not to say this wet formula isn't good but I find if I use another mascara on the top it helps to build it up and make my lashes look even longer.
