June Look Fantastic Beauty Box

So if you've been following my blog you'll know that Look Fantastic were kind enough to give me a 12-month subscription to their beauty box (here) so every month I will be doing an unboxing video...

& full review...

I do love this serum - a little bit goes a long way. My skin feels great - I have been putting it on of an evening before bed and when I wake up my skin still looks fab! This is definitely a product I will keep using. However, would I buy the full priced product? I'm still undecided - it is meant to be good for those age-related dark spots and scar marks etc. none of which I have so I am probably not the best person to be testing the products true worth.

Me and my mum both tried this one and I have said previously we are not believers in miracle cures. This products was nice, it felt good on the skin however I didn't really notice a different when using it. That might just be us? The product is meant to make skin look more youthful which I am certainly not in need for yet so perhaps that's why!

A nice cream that is meant to hydrate your skin and basically combat stress. I do love it and will definitely use the whole tube but personally I have no issues with my skin in this respect and I love the moisturising cream I currently use. I might buy this product again to use maybe once a week as the price is reasonable.

Everyone loves a face mask. Purely because I'm lazy I usually get the ones that just peel off (this one you wash off) so it was something different. I actually felt like it worked (unlike some face masks). It makes me feel like I have just come from the spa with super soft skin. The bottle will definitely be gone before I know it. I have used it three times so far this month and there is still loads left. I wouldn't say it works wonders but I have minimal problems with my skin. There are loads more reviews on the link below.
This one smells unreal - I absolutely love it just for that. I rarely ever dry my hair so I wouldn't use it often but if you do then I would say give it a go! I didn't notice a huge difference when I gave this product a go but I will definitely use it again next time I blow dry my hair.

I got this product last time so I'll save it to add to your giveaway when I reach 1,000 followers on any platform! Let me know what other products you would like to see in the giveaway.

Thank you, as always Look FantasticThis box gets **** this month from me!

At the end of the 12 months (a long way away I know - Feb 2016) I will be choosing my favorite products and let you know what products I have actually used frequently or even brought again.

As I always say, I so recommend these boxes as a treat to yourself. They are not expensive and are a great way to try out some new beauty products.

Go and subscribe to my YouTube & let me know what other videos you would like to see.

Missguided holiday wishlist

With summer holidays all around us I thought I would share with you my current favourite items from the well loved online retailers Missguided which are perfect for your holiday.

Who doesn't love swimwear, shells and low backs! True love.

The perfect summer heel.

I am in love with this two piece - ideal for those warm summer nights.

So much love for this playsuit, it's something a little different and the detailing is lush, plus white is always a winning colour for holiday.

This is the sweetest little crop top for summer. I also love the flash tattoos and hat!

Again I love this whole outfit. Bodysuits are ideal for walking around all day on holiday as you're not going to be forever tucking them in and I love the print on this one.

This maxi dress is perfect for your holiday where fitting everything into one case is difficult - style it up with blacks as above for the evening and for the day where white underneath with sandals.

I absolutely love this two piece as well. So girly yet also looks so comfy and lightweight.

This dress is my personal favourite piece. I love it.

More summer mermaid shell vibes. Gorgeous two piece that you could also wear separately with a plain white tee or white shorts. The sunglasses are also amazing.

I love this whole look. I have shorts similar to this which I got on missguided last year and they are the comfiest shorts ever - definitely in need of more!

Don't forget Missguided have up to 30% off their holiday shop right now - some of these items are included in that! Use the code 'summer'.

Fashion | Mermaids have more fun

If you've been following my blog for a while now, you'll know I absolutely love Primark and have several haul's on My YouTube.

I was always a bit skeptical about buying jeans from Primark as I am so fussy with jeans but having heard such good reviews I thought I would try a pair on... and I'm so pleased I did!

They are comfortable - I personally prefer high-waisted jeans but I do love these as something different for a change. I have recently become a fan of the ripped jean style and I loved the look of these with the frayed type bottom to match the rip. They were the nicest pair in any store that I could find that do actually fit me well and for only £13 I couldn't resist!

Of course everyone loves mermaids so this bargain top was a winner. I love the detailing on the back as well. The perfect English summer outfit.

REVIEW | Lord & Berry

The Hut Group & Look Fantastic very kindly sent me some Lord and Berry products to try out and review for you all.

I absolutely love these products because they are not only what you assume them to be, but have that something extra. Yes it is an eye liner but what else does it do? Each product is not as simple as this as I have tried to explain below. I have also provided the links to each product which give more detailed information if you wanted to know more.

First, was two lip crayons in shiny diva & earth...

I absolutely love the dramatic colours you get when using these lip crayons. They don't last all day and need toping up to keep the intensity but then again I'm not sure any lip crayons are meant to be truly long lasting.  The special thing about these crayons is that they are meant to be hydrating as well which is always a great benefit for the lips!

Next, is a coffee eyeliner...
I don't use many pencil eyeliners but I love the fact this is in 'coffee' and not black. The eyeliner is easy to put on and lasts reasonably well, I would say the same as most eyeliners I have used. The benefit here is that it is meant to be blendable and waterproof as well. Although, I can't say I have tried either of these out yet.

& finally, a mascara...
I love this mascara, I use it everyday with of Benefit Roller Lash mascara at the moment. The benefits of this mascara seem amazing; "volume, mascare and lasting treatment. MASCARE is a holistic approach to mascara that strenghthens and treats lashes, as well as enhancing their volume, definition and length" - I suppose I'll soon find out how accurate this is but it sounds very interesting!
I would say that the mascara on it's own does not do much for my eyelashes, I find the brush really thick so using the tiny Roller Lash one on top (or any other separating mascara) is good for me but don't forget everyone's eyelashes are different.

Have you tried any Lord and Berry products?

Hair colour

I have found the easiest hair colour changing app...

After uploading a blonde version of me I had loads of you ask me questions so just had to share this app with you all.

It is called 'Hair Color' by Modiface.

You take a quick selfie (or use an old image)....

Then use the tool to highlight over your hair and select the colour you wish... & hey presto.
I'm blonde

Now I'm a red head

& now I'm sort of bluey purple!

What do you think suits me best?

You can also pay a small fee to get a wider variety of colours. This app was great for playing a little trick on my mum while she was away! I think it would also be good for those of you who are thinking of changing your hair colour but aren't sure if it is the right decision.

Fashion | Casual

My go to super comfy casual outfit. The comfiest skinny jeans, a baggy knitted jumper and trainers. Perfect for any quick trip to the supermarket or a day out where comfort is essential...

If you have been following my posts for a while you know I absolutely love Topshop jeans, I think they are the comfiest going and definitely worth the price.

The trainers were a complete bargain from the Nike outlet at Freeport and I actually only paid £28 for them. I couldn't leave them behind at that price. I am a huge fan of Nike trainers, I think they are so comfy and ideal for any activity; with different types specially designed for different activities.

Everyone has a favourite baggy knitted cosy jumper and this is one of mine. It's not cropped but it isn't too long either and the colours just work with everything.

Fashion | eBay

Never underestimate the power of a good eBay shop!

Every month I tend to buy a few items from eBay, particularly phone cases and all sorts of accessories.

I think eBay is a great place to buy phone cases and screen protectors as it is so much cheaper than high street stores; usually for the exact same product. Also, eBay is great for those items that you know you won't wear a lot but you still really want... sometimes I get unlucky and no one is doing the product but in time they usually do, especially if it becomes hugely popular.

The cheapest items usually come from China and so do take about 2 - 3 weeks to come but are so worth the wait in my opinion and actually almost always come in the earlier days of the time frame they give.

The trick for shopping on eBay for these types of products is to only search for actual businesses. A lot of small companies start off on eBay, rather than owning their own website...

After searching for the products, click on more refinements > sellers > eBay shops only.

Also, always check the sellers rating. I wouldn't usually go for anyone with under 95%.

Here are my latest purchases....

Top - here for £2.99
This mesh top is exactly what I wanted. I had been searching on numerous fashion websites and could not find it for under about £15 which I decided it was not worth.

I was so happy when I stumbled upon this on eBay - the quality is even better than I imagined and it came in under two weeks. I was so pleased. I definitely recommend this seller; 2012flybuy with 98.8% positive feedback and 18,832 reviews that you can go and read.

You can get two different sizes but I went with long so I could tuck it in with a pretty bralet or throw it on over my bikini... the phone case is also from eBay.

Hat - here for £3.99

I am in love with this hat. The fedora style is so in fashion and in every shop around but again I was looking at about £16 and I wasn't sure it would even suit me (what do you think?) so I wasn't prepared to pay that amount. You can imagine I was super happy when I managed to find a good seller with this hat in the exact colour I wanted for such a bargain!

Sunglasses - here for £1.47

Who doesn't love sunglasses?! Especially for under £2! I couldn't leave these cat-eye style glasses behind. I usually only wear my Ray Bans when I do go on holiday as I know they are properly safe for my eyes but as a fashion piece you can't go wrong with eBay - so much cheaper than many high street shops.

Do you buy stuff from eBay?

Recipe: Quinoa Parmesan Chicken

I absolutely love this dish. It's something a bit different to your every day dinner, looks fab, tastes even better AND is healthy.

Obviously you can have whatever you want with your chicken but (as seen below) I love butternut squash and sweet potato cubes with spinach and mixed vegetables. Oh, and I added extra parmesan cheese in this picture because I omitted the mozzarella from the recipe below.
Makes: 4 portions
Total time: approx. 1 hour

1/2 cup quinoa
2 chicken breasts, cut crosswise in half  (trust me on this one)
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 - 2 eggs (start with one and add another is necessary)
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup marinara sauce
Mixed herbs, salt, pepper (any other seasoning you like) and a garnish, again optional.

Firstly, I cook the quinoa so it has time to cool before having to stick your hands in it! When cooking, add the mixed herbs or whatever seasoning you prefer.

Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.
Put greaseproof paper onto a baking tray (or two) ready.
Cut the chicken crossways in half (trust me on this one) and flatten* then season with salt and pepper, to your taste.

Get three bowls ready - one with the flour, one with a beaten egg and one with the quinoa mixture.
Working in batches, first put one piece of chicken in the flour then in the eggs then in the quinoa mixture.

When doing this, make sure you press down firmly - you want to make sure one side is completely coated (don't worry about the other side as it would just stick to the baking tray).

Repeat with all four pieces and place onto the baking tray.
Place into oven and bake for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Take it out and top with cheeses and marinara and then place back into the oven and bake until cheeses have melted; about 5 more minutes.
& Enjoy!

*to flatten I put a piece of chicken in between greaseproof paper, on top of a cutting board and hit it with a rolling pin until even.
